UPDATE: Job Retention Scheme - Date Extended

Over the weekend the Chancellor announced an extension to the Job Retention Scheme (i.e. the employee furlough scheme) in light of the extension to the current lockdown position.

The amendment allows employees to be furloughed (and therefore claims for 80% of wages costs) up to and including 30 June, an extension of one month to the original date of 31 May.

The Job Retention Scheme portal is now open for claims to date.
