Further to yesterday’s Budget update focussing on taxation, the following is the second instalment covering the key Covid support elements of the Chancellor’s announcements last week.
Following last week’s Spring Budget statement by the Chancellor and our brief summary of the announcements, the intention is now to expand on those over a couple of digestible emails to provide greater detail around the main points we think will be of most relevance.
Following the Chancellor’s Budget statement and our summary, we will be sending out greater detail on various key measures and the implications of each.
Following this afternoon’s Spring Budget statement by the Chancellor we thought it would be useful to provide a summary of the key announcements and measures.
A brief update on some recent announcements in respect of both Coronavirus and Brexit support measures:
Wednesday 3 March sees the Chancellor deliver his Spring Budget to outline the government’s fiscal plans, with coronavirus support undoubtedly expected to be at the forefront.
Just a quick reminder that the deadline for claims under the third round of Self Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) grants is this Friday 29 January.
The government has today announced that the £100 penalty for the late filing of the 19/20 self assessment tax return (due 31 January) will not be charged provided the return is filed online by 28 February.
