Innovate UK Grants for Coronavirus Support Projects
Just a reminder that the application process for the government-backed Innovate UK grants for Coronavirus-specific projects closes this Friday (17 April) at midday.
In summary Innovate UK have been allocated a £20m fund to invest in solutions tackling new or emerging societal or industrial needs arising as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The grants will cover 100% of total eligible costs between £25,000 and £50,000 of projects able to start by 1st June 2020 of no more than 6 months in duration.
Sectors and industries identified by the government of specific interest include:
- community support services
- couriers and delivery (rural and/or city based)
- education and culture
- entertainment (live entertainment, music, etc.)
- financial services
- food manufacture and processing
- healthcare
- hospitality
- personal protection equipment
- remote working
- retail
- social care
- sport and recreation
- transport
- wellbeing
