The Role
 

We currently have vacancy for an AAT Trainee Accountant to join our talented team. We are a rapidly growing firm, so this is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who wants to start their accountancy career in a dynamic and stimulating environment.

To further develop your technical abilities, your core responsibilities at work will revolve around allowing you to gain experience in a wide variety of specialities including audit and accounts, corporate tax, personal tax, and ad hoc client led work.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies;
  • Providing bookkeeping and VAT work to a range of clients;
  • Assisting senior staff members with audit work; and
  • Dealing with ad hoc queries and occasional visits to client premises

Your Manager will work closely with you to support you through your development and you will be allocated a member of the team who will provide additional day to day guidance and help.

The Person
 

We're looking for positive and self-motivated candidates. Along with your ability and willingness to undertake and succeed in a range of professional studies, you'll ideally have:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE's, including Maths and English at grade 5 (C) or above
  • Good IT skills, including the use of Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Work on your own initiative and as part of a team Relevant work experience is preferable but not essential
